In a move that will likely remind gamers of EA's recent strategy, all versions of Remedy's forthcoming Alan Wake will include a voucher for a "game add-on" download.
There's no word on what the DLC will be, but we're hoping it'll be some extra content - possibly a new game mode, or a new level - rather than, say, a set of new skins. We've been playing Alan Wake recently, and it's bloody good, so anything adding more game is fine by us.
While EA hasn't been the only company to use this in recent times it's certainly one of the most prominent proponents, with everything from BioWare's Mass Effect 2 through to DICE's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 adopting this tactic for convincing users to buy games new.
