Majesco has announced Swords, a MotionPlus-controlled fighting game for the Wii.
Swords sends players through time to fight against eight adversaries from history, including Viking chieftain Armin, "flirtatious yet dangerous beauty" Keiko Anamura, and Sir Lancelot. Each victory grants them a new, upgraded sword with which to topple their next opponent before they face off against a mysterious final swordsman.
It all starts off in the Dojo, though, with a series of drills aimed at teaching players how to fight, as well as one setting them against a horde of zombies. As you'd expect, there'll also be a full multiplayer mode.
Obviously, it's all about the 1-to-1 accuracy granted by the MotionPlus. I sincerely doubt I'm the only one who's been screaming out for a decent swordfighting game on Wii, so we'll be paying close attention to this.
Swords, developed by Panic Button and published by Majesco, is due out for the Wii in September.
