Mytheon Open Beta Launches

True Games Interactive and developer Petroglyph have launched the open beta for their multiplayer action RPG Mytheon.

The Beta is now open to anyone and players can sign-up on www.MytheonGame.com/open-beta-event where the game client is also available for download.

The Beta test will open up the game without restrictions and cash shop items will be available for the first time during open beta for players to sample. During the open beta period, players will receive "Mytheon Coins" that can be spent in the cash shop on items such as armor and weapons, power stones and  potions.

To encourage testers to get involved, True Games are also hosting a special three day event where players can win prizes including an Alienware M17x laptop, iPods and iTunes cards.

"We've been eager to throw open the virtual doors of this exciting new world and let all players see the unique and addictive gameplay we've been creating," said Randy King, senior producer of Mytheon for Petroglyph. "We are excited to play with the community in the open beta event over the next few days, and to hear their thoughts and feedback on the game as we move closer to our official launch."
