Another Magnificent Seven Leave Infinity Ward

In news that will surely surprise everybody, even more Infinity Ward staff have left for pastures new.

Today's Infinity Ward departures are brought to you by the number seven, as confirmed by George Broussard's twitter feed.

"The heart and soul that created [Call of Duty] is leaving the building and that has long term effects," the creator of Duke Nukem said, before referring to the events as Activision's "Black Friday."

General ScreenshotThose seven who left like seven hundred are said to be:

Mohammad Alavi, Chad Grenier, Brent McLeod, Chris Lambert, Jason McCord, Charlie Wiederhold and a mysterious, as yet unnamed seventh (we're going with Steve McQueen.)

That brings the total departures from Infinity Ward since March of this year to nineteen; unless even more staff have escaped in the time it took to type this news post. Seven of those (a different seven from the above list) are now part of Respawn Entertainment, the new studio created by former IW heads Jason West and Vince Zampella.

If you'd like to read up on the background events to this increasingly funny mass exodus, head over to our article What We Know About The Infinity Ward Debacle, Part Two.
