Activision Blizzard to Release First Quarter 2010 Results on

General ScreenshotIt is that time of the year when fans love to see Mike Morhaime (Blizzard President & CEO) stand on stage to talk about Blizzard Entertainment's finances, but more importantly where he makes announcements about the current status of games in development, release dates, and future plans. Last time we heard Morhaime was during the 2009 Fourth Quarter Investors Conference Call held the past February 10th.

In the previous conference call Morhaime announced StarCraft II Beta would start at the end of February 2010, and the introduction of the new Plush Pets with a key code to redeem an in-game facsimile pet.

Expectations for this new conference call is high with the recent announcement of the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty Collector's Edition and the second half of 2010 drawing near, which means this might be the stage to announce its official release date.

On the other hand, World of WarCraft: Cataclysm closed beta is unofficially rumored to start around May-June, thus this conference is suitable for a announcement, and of course, any plans for the upcoming BlizzCon and a possible date for a Blizzard Worldwide Invitationals.  The last one was held on June 28-29, 2008 in Paris, where Diablo III was officially announced. Stay tuned for our coverage of this conference event.
