Microsoft has revealed that Halo: Reach will be getting the full collector's edition treatment with both a standard edition, a limited edition, and a legendary edition.
The standard Halo: Reach will, as you'd expect, include nothing but the game (and, presumably, a manual and the like) but the other two are likely to raise some serious interest.
The Limited Edition comes packed in a "recovered ONI black box" and contains a copy of the game, an Elite armour set for use in multiplayer, and - most intriguingly of all - an artifact bag.
This artifact bag contains the journal of Dr. Halsey - a UNSC scientist whose mind was used to create the Halo AI Cortana - in addition to "other classified documents and effects that unravel long held secrets." Check out the pics below to see what else is included.
Then there's Legendary Edition, which contains everything the Limited Edition does, but comes packaged in a UNSC crate and also throws in a multiplayer Spartan armour effect and a 10 inch, 10 pound statue depicting Reach's Noble Team. Said statue has been created by McFarlane Toys, and each one has been individually molded, hand-painted, and numbered.
How much will all that cost, you ask? The standard edition is expected to cost £49.99 GBP, with the Limited Edition only a little pricier at £59.99. The Legendary Edition, however, is a whopping £99.99 GBP.
Halo: Reach is due out this autumn, with a beta set to start on 3 May for those with Halo: ODST discs. We'll have a hands-on preview for you next week, but there's plenty more info on the game here on IncGamers, including a first look.
There's also a Halo: Reach "Carnage Carnivale" vidoc we've just put up, showing off some more footage of the game, as well as talking heads of the developers. Check it out.
