AFP reports that John Cleese took a £3,300 GBP taxi trip from Oslo to Brussels after being stranded by travel restrictions placed in response to major volcanic activity in Iceland.
As we already know, Funcom are perhaps to blame for the gigantic cloud of volcanic ash which is currently grounding aeroplanes all over Europe. But it was no fun at all for Cleese to be stuck in Norway without transport.
"We checked every option, but there were no boats and no train tickets available" the former Monty Python star told Norwegian broadcaster TV2.
Cleese may be appearing as a butler in Fable III, but it was he who needed some assistance in beating the travel chaos.
"My fabulous assistant determined the easiest thing would be to take a taxi" said Cleese.
One costly 930 mile drive later and Cleese was in Belgium, from where he hopes to take a Eurostar train back to London.
