Activision March Quarter Financials To Exceed Predictions

Activision Blizzard logoActivision has announced its March quarter financial performance will exceed earlier predictions.

Back in February the publisher predicted GAAP net revenues of $1.1 billion USD and today announced it is tracking ahead of expectations.

"We are tracking ahead of our March quarter outlook due to strong global demand for Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft(R) and Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare(R) 2," said Activision's Bobby Kotick.

"We benefited from the record breaking launch of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map pack, which was previously expected to launch in the June quarter. Additionally, certain operating expenses previously planned for the March quarter will now be incurred in the June quarter."

Activision Blizzard's March quarter financial results are expected to be announced on 6 May.
