Heavy Rain: One Million Copies Sold

Sony has announced over one million copies of Heavy Rain have been sold.

The innovative adventure title, which we absolutely adore, reached the one million sales landmark only five weeks after its release. Quantic Dream's David Cage is understandably delighted.

"It has been hugely gratifying to see the positive response that Heavy Rain has received from gamers” said Cage.

“It shows that it is possible to create games that break with convention, games that seek to tell complex stories, and games that can inspire unexpected emotions in players - and that such games can be commercial as well as critical successes. I hope that this success will continue to help pave the way for new, groundbreaking experiences."   

Set against the backdrop of a serial killer murder mystery, the game puts the player in the shoes of four characters in a story dripping with atmosphere. Check out our review here.
