The UK games industry trade association TIGA has Crytek is its newest member.
Germany-based Crytek entered the UK market in 2009 after purchasing Nottingham studio Free Radical Design and renaming it Crytek UK.
Crytek UK managing director Karl Hilton said the company supports TIGA "in its mission to make the UK the best place in the world to do games business."
He added, "Crytek UK fully supports TIGA's campaign to gain Games Tax Relief for the UK games development industry to enable us to remain competitive in the international marketplace."
As part of the deal Crytek UK has promised to help TIGA associated universities with free access to the CryENGINE in its class rooms.
"This will give students the chance to cut their teeth using the latest technology and ensure that graduates are skilled and experienced in industry development tools when they enter the workforce," Hilton added.
Crytek UK will also be looking to help other members of TIGA by announcing a discount for anyone wishing to use the CryENGINE technology.
"Crytek UK is a significant and very welcome addition to the UK development community and to TIGA," said TIGA's Richard Wilson.
"TIGA also commends Crytek's commitment to work with our university members to give them access to the latest industry technology and address the skill shortage that exists in our industry."
On Wednesday, TIGA officially released its games industry election manifesto which outlines numerous policy recommendations for the next government. Catch up on TIGA's response to IncGamers questions on regarding the manifesto here.
