EA's Battlefield blog has announced that owners of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will soon be able to take on "EA's very own bad company" over Xbox LIVE.
The event will take place on 7 April from 0700hrs - 2200hrs EST (that's 8 April, 0000hrs - 0300hrs in the UK, timezone fans) - so polish your camouflage gear and vacuum your grenade box, or whatever it is soldiers do to prepare.
According to the relevant Xbox event page, EA will be represented by "community managers who work on shooter titles at Electronic Arts." So if you've ever felt an urge to shoot at those guys (in a game, naturally), now is your chance.
As yet no events of this kind have been announced for PC or PS3 players, resulting in a festival of system wars whining beneath EA's blog announcement.
