New Monkey Island 2:SE Screen

A previously unreleased screenshot from the forthcoming Special Edition of Monkey Island 2 has been posted on Facebook.

The LucasArts twitter account confirms that there will be "daily postings" about the game at Monkey Island Adventures. Today's offering is a before and after shot of the Woodtick Woodshop on Scabb Island, showing off the special edition-ified graphical make-over.

Just like the The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, MI2:SE will boast fancy new graphics and full voice acting. In addition, the title is promising the option of 'direct' control over Guybrush Threepwood, developer commentary and improved hair. MI2:SE is scheduled to appear on iPhone, iPod touch, Mac, PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 this summer.

As Monkey Island 2 is one of the best adventure games ever made, we're rather excited. We hope the verb-action and inventory selection system goes back to being un-ruined this time though.
