Rock Band Going Alternative Next Week

Harmonix and MTV Games have announced that next week's Rock Band Music Store update will add six tracks by six alternative rock bands.

Expect music from alternative rockers Anberlin and Switchfoot, punk rockers Hawk Nelson, hard rockers Skillet, pop rockers Superchick, and rockers Thousand Foot Krutch. That's a lot of rock.

The tracks, listed below, will hRock Bandit Xbox 360 and Wii on 6 April and PlayStation 3 on 8 April, and will also be available on the LEGO Rock Band Music Store.

  • Anberlin - Feel Good Drag
  • Hawk Nelson - Live Life Loud
  • Skillet - Monster
  • Superchick - Stand in the Rain
  • Switchfoot - Meant to Live
  • Thousand Foot Krutch - Fire It Up

Each track will cost $1.99 USD / £0.99 GBP / €1.49 EUR / 160 Microsoft Points / 200 Wii Points. I don't think I've ever heard of any of these bands, but that doesn't mean much. Check them out next week.
