Multiplay has announced that EA and EA Store are sponsoring Europe's first Battlefield: Bad Company 2 LAN tournament.
The tournament - with £2,500 GBP up for grabs - will be taking place this weekend at i39, which will also feature prize tournaments for Counter-Strike: Source, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Team Fortress 2, and Heroes of Newerth, with the amount of cash up for grabs now totalling up to £22,500 GBP.
i39 is taking place from 2 April to 5 April - that's this weekend, date fans - at Newbury Racecourse. There'll be plenty of competitive LAN games taking place, but you should also expect to see free to play titles including Rock Band, DJ Hero, Dance Dance Revolution, Wii Sports, and more.
We'll be there, camera in tow. Stay tuned for a video regarding the event later this afternoon, and be sure to check out our coverage next week.
