Mortal Online Launch Pushed Back By One Month

SMortal Onlinetar Vault, the developer behind the fantasy MMO Mortal Online, has announced that the game's launch has been delayed by a month.

A letter on the game's official forums let players know of the decision to postpone the launch, which was originally due to happen sometime this month. However, according to Star Vault's CEO Henrik Nystrom, an on-going desync issue means players will have to wait a bit longer before they can get their hands on the retail copy. MO is currently in open beta.

“As you know we have been working hard to solve our desync issue within the game to have a proper release of Mortal Online. We have made some progress but we think we have hit the limits on the current version of the network solution we are using. We believed we had the solution before end of March but we now see that this is not possible at the moment therefore we have to postpone the release for another month.”

Mortal OnlineMortal Online is a sandbox MMO which contains no quests, instances or third person perspective. You literally start from scratch and must make a way for yourself through gathering, crafting and trade, battle or deception and thievery. See the character creation process in our walk-through video, which has been censored to hide the full-frontal nudity that is featured in the game. You have been warned.

Further information on the work that Star Vault is carrying out can be seen in the original post.
