Splatterhouse Screens

Namco Bandai has released new screens from its upcoming Splatterhouse remake.

The screens suggest that there's gore aplenty in this “reimagination” of the gruesome 1988 coin-op smash, as the game's hero, Rick Taylor, dons the Terror Mask and searches for his missing girlfriend. Clearly "search" and "knock the shit out of stuff" are interchangable in Rick's vocabulary.

The game is set to include a dynamic combat system which will allow the player to smash enemies' bones and remove limbs with ease, using Rick's bare hands and a variety of weapons.

Splatterhouse is due for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 later this year.
