2K Games has announced Mafia 2 will be released in August.
The open world crime sequel will hit American store shelves first on 24 August, with a European release to follow on 27 August.
The game tells the story of Vito Scaletta, an Italian-American who returns to the US after World War Two and embarks on a life of crime as he rises through the ranks of the Mafia. Spanning ten years of Vito's life, Mafia 2 also sports a dynamic open world setting which evolves from the grey, post-war days to the vibrant, colourful rock n' roll years.
In other Mafia 2 news, the game will also feature over two hours of cutscenes.
We're big Mafia fans here at IncGamers and can't wait for the sequels to drop. Find out why we think it will be one of the sandbox hits of the year here.
