South Park Tiger Woods Episode Leaves EA “Worried”

EA was apparently left “worried” by the latest episode of South Park which takes aim at Tiger Woods.

The episode, which aired at the weekend across the world, lampoons Tiger Woods for his recent indiscretions and questions the notion of sex addiction. The episode also features a repeated joke about Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 which, rather than being a traditional golf title, is more of a 2D beat 'em up featuring Tiger and his wife Elin.

According to a source at the publisher (via Daily Informer), EA Sports organised a meeting for the top brass shortly after the episode aired. EA's marketing bods were “already worried, but now they have a lot more to worry about”.  

The source also mentioned a possible lawsuit, adding “while I personally found the episode quite funny, there are definitely a few copyright infringements in there that I’m sure will be dealt with accordingly”.
