Killzone 3 Confirmed

Sony has confirmed a third title in the Killzone series is in production.

While the news will come as no surprise to people who played Killzone 2 (which hints heavily at another sequel), Sony's Jack Tretton confirmed the title is in development at GDC earlier this month.

KillZone 2“Well, we own Guerrilla Games and they did a great job on Killzone 1 and 2," Tretton told GT.

"I don't know if you'll see announcements about it, but I can promise you a Killzone 3."

He also urged fans to keep an eye on the E3 event stating, in an extended cake metaphor, that there will be lots to look forward to.

"This is just the frosting on the cake, I'm saving the batter for E3. We will absolutely bring the heat, there's a lot to talk about."
