Heavy Rain Patch Coming Soon

A Heavy Rain patch is in "the final stages of testing."

A post by a developer on the US Heavy Rain forum, spotted by VG247, notes that "the game patch has now completed development and is currently in the final stages of testing."

The patch in question addresses "a range of minor issues," which may or may not include some of the freezing problems players have been having.

The dev notes "Given the small percentage of players affected by these issues and the difficulty that has been had in reproducing them here we're optimistic that this patch resolves your problems but cannot guarantee that this will be the case."

No word on when we can expect the patch, but if it's in the final stages of testing it hopefully won't be too long.
