EA Launches Need For Speed World Beta, Screens

EA has announced that the Need for Speed World beta has begun.

PC players can sign up for the racing MMO now by popping over to the official website and hitting the big green button marked "APPLY FOR THE BETA." Pretty simple, really.

According to senior producer John Doyle, the game features the "classic adrenaline fueled racing with an all-new power up system and deep RPG style progression." This apparently translates to online races and "police pursuits" across "150 miles of sprawling open world," comprised of cities from Need for Speed Most Wanted and Need for Speed Carbon.

We're just hoping that's 150 square miles. Other than that, it sounds interesting to us. Pop on over to the official site to sign up for the beta, or check out the screens below.

Need for Speed World is due out on PC this summer.
