Although digital distribution has been a sore point for most of the bigger publishers in the industry, independent producers of videogames have praised this method of distribution.
In an interview with IncGamers, Puncher Studios, an independent developer and publisher of videogames, has said that the company would be lost without digital distribution.
"Digital is an incredible solution for indies and "little" publishers you know. If you are based in Europe, you can directly know an American player will have the possibility to buy your game, even if you don't own a structure in North America. Thanks Internet!" said studio director Guillaume Descamps.
Having said that, Descamps said he wouldn't rule out boxed products in the future, but it all is "dependant on our target and our platform".
We'll have a full interview with Punchers Studios and their upcoming game, CRASHER, later this week.
