Microsoft has announced that Crackdown 2 will launch on 9 July.
There's no word on whether 9 July is a global date, as thus far it's only been confirmed as European, but we'd wager that all other regions will be getting it around the same time.
Crackdown 2 is a 360-exclusive open-world power trip of a game, casting players as an Agent sent back into the same city as the first game to fend off both a civilian terrorist/vigilante group called the Cell as well as some hideous mutant beasties causing carnage.
Expect to leap tall buildings in a single bound, blast through cars with a single rocket, and smack people in the face with a single dumpster. Also: four-player co-op and 16-player competitive multiplayer.
We can't wait, and if you're in the same boat, you'll want to have a look at our interview with Crackdown 2 developer Ruffian at the recent X10 event.
