Aragorn's Quest To Support PlayStation Move

Warner Bros, The Saul Zaentz Company and New Line Productions have announced that forthcoming Lord of the Rings title Aragorn's Quest will support the PlayStation Move controller.

Sony's motion controller, which we now know is called Move, is due out this autumn and Aragorn's Quest - due around the same time - will fully support it.

Aragorn's Quest is due out on PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii, and Nintendo DS, with both the Wii and PS3 versions supporting motion controls.

The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's QuestThe game lets players have a go at Aragorn's "most daring battles" from the entire span of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, with "sword, bow, and horseback adventures" present and correct. As you'd expect, the motion controller support means that "every controller gesture instantly and accurately translates to weapon strikes in the game."

Intriguingly, the PS3 and Wii versions of the game will support two-player co-op, with the second player taking the role of Gandalf.

Could this be the first motion control game that's not Wii Sports Resort to get swordfighting right? We'll find out in autumn.
