OnLive has teased it will reveal “big news” at the GDC in San Francisco tomorrow.
A tweet by the company earlier today advised gamers to “Keep an eye” on CEO Steve Perlman's keynote address, stating “Big events call for big news.”
Perlman is due to speak at the Gamesbeat@GDC Summit which focuses on “disruptions” to the games industry like social and phone gaming, with Onlive's cloud-based gaming presumably falling under the same category.
OnLive is a service designed to render games remotely in the “cloud” allowing gamers to stream software to a low-end PC capable of playing the video. Annnounced at last year's GDC, OnLive has been in beta since September and has reportedly secured a "large investment" from a number of companies including telecommunications giant AT&T and Warner Bros.
Stay tuned to IncGamers for all the news from the GDC this week.
