"Something Cool" For Mass Effect Fans Today

BioWare has hinted that we should see "something cool" related to Mass Effect later today.

A message posted to the Mass Effect 2 Twitter last night read "All this Dragon Age: Origins news today. Feeling left out Mass Effect fans? Nevermind. Something cool coming tomorrow. Stay tuned. ;)"

Mass Effect 2No word on what it might be. It could theoretically be the the Firewalker DLC, which adds in the Hovertank, but that was scheduled for "late March" and we're not there yet.

More than likely, it's going to be something related to Mass Effect on the whole rather than Mass Effect 2 specifically. A Tweet shortly before the one we've copied for you up above read pretty much exactly the same, but without the winky smiley, and with "ME2" in place of "Mass Effect," so it's worth contemplating that the above one may be a correction, of sorts.

Let's just hope it's better than the last "surprise," which turned out to be a redesign of the Mass Effect 2 site. We'll keep you posted when we find out more, which will hopefully be later today.

If you happen to be a fan of both, like any sensible RPG player should be, then have a look at our Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening hands-on, and our news that BioWare is looking into new controls for Dragon Age on consoles as time goes by. Stay tuned for more later this afternoon, too.
