Runes Of Magic Gets Voice-Chat

Runes of MagicVivox has announced that it has teamed up with Runewaker Entertainment to provide in-game chat for Runes of Magic players.

The free to play MMO, which has 2.8 million registered users, has surpassed all expectations, with regular content updates, fun events and a high quality gaming experience. The addition of Vivox's in-game voice communication system can only serve to attract more gamers to the fantasy RPG.

"Runewaker Entertainment has built a sophisticated game that resonates with players around the world who are looking for challenging adventures and a dynamic community," said Rob Seaver, CEO and founder of Vivox. "Runes of Magic is setting new standards for the free-to-play MMO market with creative and gratifying game play. The addition of Vivox Voice will bring the community closer together around the game they love."

The new system is already live on Taiwan servers and is expected to arrive here in the west soon. See what we thought of Runes of Magic when we played it just before launch last year.

Over 20 million users in 200 countries chat to others in-game thanks to Vivox. It also provides comms for the Spy-Fi MMO, Global Agenda.
