Santa Monica Studios has revealed that God of War III had an epilogue that was cut from the game.
Speaking to GameTrailers, God of War III senior producer Steve Caterson elaborated on both what was cut and what might happen in the future.
"Probably the hardest cut was, we had a whole kinda epilogue at the end planned that we just never got - just didn't get done," said Caterson. "Maybe later."
Caterson went on to explain that there's always more content planned than makes it into the God of War games. "The team constantly pushes itself, they're constantly trying to do more than they know they can do, and they know it going in," he mused. "They wanna try, and we give them the opportunity, we give them the means to try, and then they always amaze myself and others. You think they're only gonna get here, and they get way out here."
"It's painful for them to finally admit that they're not gonna get exactly where they wanna go," he concluded.
God of War III marks an end to the God of War trilogy. With the game out this week, we put up our review yesterday - which lauded the action in the game as "the best we've seen in the series to date" - and you can check it out right here.
