Ubisoft has stated the Assassin's Creed II DRM problems preventing some users from playing the game were caused by “attacks” on its servers.
In a tweet, the publisher revealed the attack happened between 2.30pm and 9.00pm Paris time.
“Apologies to anyone who couldn’t play ACII or SH5 yesterday. Servers were attacked which limited service from 2:30pm to 9pm Paris time.”
The DRM issues have led to to long log-in times and players being unable to access their saved games.
