Activision Confirms Infinity Ward Departures


Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2Activision has confirmed Jason West and Vince Zampella are no longer part of Infinity Ward.

Following yesterday's reports of West and Zampella's departure, the publisher confirmed the news in a press release on the future of the Call of Duty franchise. Hidden away in the release, which states that three new CoD games are in development, is the following:

“Activision Publishing veterans Steve Pearce, chief technology officer and Steve Ackrich, head of production, will lead Infinity Ward on an interim basis. Jason West and Vince Zampella are no longer with Infinity Ward.”
