EA has revealed that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be getting two extra multiplayer maps on launch.
These two maps form part of EA's Project Ten Dollar, meaning that there'll be a VIP code to activate them in new copies of Bad Company 2, while those who purchase a used copy of the game will need to pay for them.
The maps - Laguna Alta in Conquest mode, and Nelson Bay in Rush mode - will actually be included on the game disk and merely need to be activated by inputting the VIP code, which we suspect will annoy a fair few people.
EA also notes that two more maps will be freely available later in March: Arica Harbor in Conquest mode, and Laguna Presa in Rush mode.
Those who purchase the game used and don't have the in-box VIP code will need to purchase one in the in-game store, which will cost $15 USD. Don't worry, we're as confused about the naming of Project Ten Dollar as you are.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is due out on 2 March in America and 5 March in Europe. Check out our recent single-player hands-on to see what you can expect.
