Remedy “Betting The Farm” On Alan Wake

Alan Wake developer Remedy has revealed the success of the game is crucial to the survival of the company.

In an interview with IncGamers during a studio tour in Finland, Remedy’s Matias Myllyrinne stressed just how important the upcoming psychological thriller is to the company.

Alan Wake"To be honest, we're very much betting the farm on this game," he said.

"We've created it since 2005, and it is kind of like landing on a new continent and bringing the ships - 'Guys, you'd better make do on this continent. Survive.'"

"So Alan Wake is something that we've poured our hearts and souls into."

With the title first announced at E3 in 2005, it's been a bit of a slow starter with Remedy keeping very quiet about the game until now.  With a dev team of just over 40 people, it's no surprise the game hasn't surfaced sooner, but has it been left too late?

Alan Wake is due for release on Xbox 360 only on 21 May. Stay tuned for our preview, due later today and be sure to check out the full interview here.
