Skate 3 Single Player Details

EA and Black Box have released new details about the single player game in Skate 3.

In a video interview, the development team asks what is there left to do after you’ve been discovered, made a comeback and become a legend. The answer, it seems, is to create your own brand and form a team and that’s what the single player game in Skate 3 will involve.

Skate 3The goal is to sell boards – more sales means more recruits to your team and the ultimate goal is to sell one million boards. Your team is made up of AI skaters that you create or, if you prefer, you can invite friends’ created skaters into your team. You’ll also need to create your own brand by designing a logo.

As your team’s popularity increases you’ll unlock a team HQ - your very own skate park to hone your skills in.

The video also reveals that should you hit a wall in the single player game and encounter a challenge you can’t beat, you can invite a co-op friend into your game to help you complete it. And the good news is, the friend will earn credit for their single player campaign for any challenge they help you complete.

Skate 3 is due for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 in May 2010.
