Codemasters is hiring employees to work on a new IP.
The IP, a console FPS, apparently comes from Codemasters' creative director Stuart Black, best known for co-creating and designing another console FPS - Black.
This new project apparently entered full production 12 months ago, and is being worked on by an 80-person development team. It's the first new IP to use Codemasters' EGO tech, which previously drove Colin McRae: DiRT, Race Driver: GRID, and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising.
As such, there are plenty of openings over at Codies' Guildford studio across pretty much every conceivable discipline through design, programming, and art, both for this team and for the future.
"Codemasters' multi-site studio network has seen a significant rise in headcount to over 450 people and growth at the Guildford Studio is key to our overall development strategy," explained Codemasters' vice president of development Gavin Cheshire. "This current hiring phase is just the beginning as we look to build a further full team and create additional original IP on site."
Currently, the Codemasters website has 70 jobs listed, although not all of them are for Guildford.
So, a potential spiritual successor to Black? Sounds good to us.
