Star Trek Online: Borg Update Announced

Cryptic Studios has announced The Borg Update, the first part of post-launch content for Star Trek Online.

The content is for high level players, level 43 onwards, and explains what has been going on with the Borg since their assumed defeat against the USS Voyager in the TV series. In the game, the Borg are back in full strength and players must eventually face the leader of the collective, the Borg Queen. The upcoming content will include a handful of episodes including:

• The Cure - A planet has been completely taken over by the Borg. Fight them for control of the planet.
• Khitomer Accord - Travel back in time and uncover and participate in the events that led to the release of old Borg you encountered in the Tutorial Episode.
• Into the Hive - Track down a missing Starfleet captain and come face to face with the new Borg Queen.
