More Mass Effect 2 DLC Hitting Today

BioWare has revealed that Mass Effect 2 players will have access to a new shotgun and a new armour set via DLC later today.

The announcement was made on the BioWare forums, with BioWare community man Chris Priestly noting that both pieces of kit will be available on PC and 360 "at 12:00pm Mountain Standard Time," which we think means in about six and a half hours.

Mass Effect 2The Cerberus Assault Armour is "designed for shock troops" and can "turn the tide of battle against creatures or forces that would decimate normal soldiers." It grants 10% bonuses to heavy weapon ammo capacity, shields, and health.

The M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun, on the other hand, is a "longer-range shotgun with armor-piercing loads." Hilariously, the weapon's design "violates several intergalactic weapons treaties, so the M-22a is not distributed to militaries." We can't wait to get our hands on it.

Mass Effect 2 is brilliant. Find out why here.
