Star Trek Online Does Not Have 1m Users

Star Trek OnlineTo clafiry an earlier press release, Atari has told IncGamers that there have been one million Cryptic accounts created, not Star Trek Online ones.

As we reported yesterday, Atari announced that “over 1 million Star Trek fans have created accounts at the official websites”. The websites mentioned in the statement refer to the Champions Online official site, as well as the Star Trek Online one. Champions Online is the other recently released MMO from Cryptic, and players are required to have a Cryptic account to play either game.

The exact numbers aren't known yet, but a million accounts in total for two games isn't half bad. Warhammer Online and Age of Conan get by with 300,000 subscribers a piece.
