BlizzCon 2010 Dated?

Blizzard's annual convention BlizzCon looks set to return this year as IncGamers has been tipped-off that the event has a tentative date and location  set for later this year.

Earlier  this year there was speculation that the event would move to Las Vegas but these rumours were squashed pretty quickly by Blizzard. Today the Anaheim Convention Center has listed this year's BlizzCon as taking place 22-23 October after the date suddenly appeared on the Anaheim Convention Center website earlier this evening.

Spotting the error, the Convention Center immediately pulled the dates from their website. IncGamers contacted Blizzard who were quick to dismiss the booking listing as you'd expect.

Blizzard Entertainment has not announced any details about the next BlizzCon. We recommend that players refrain from making any BlizzCon-related travel plans at this time.

Although no dates have been confirmed, this latest update seems plausible, the Anaheim Convention Center is the usual location and Blizzard usually book the venue between August and October. Don't book those plane tickets just yet until we get something concrete from the powers that be at Blizzard.

It was rumoured to be that time of year so it fits in. It's still a shame the Las Vegas venue wasn't to be.

Blizzard are sure to come back with that response because it's out of their control otherwise. The convention center will get a stern email for slipping up.

I wish Blizzcon would come to Europe. It's a bit annoying if Blizzcon 2010 is in Anaheim again, they shoud give as many fans as possible the chance to come!

Blizzcon 2011 at the o2 in London please?

They had WWI (world wide invitational) in Paris in 2008 where they announced Diablo 3. It was a pretty big event as you can see on Diablowiki.Net (http://www.diablowiki.net/WWI_2008) but they haven't repeated it unfortunately. I believe they would fill a large exhibition hall no problem. I went to it and lots of people had travelled from other countries to be there (myself included). I even know someone who flew from New York to be there. Perhaps it's just a matter of time, taking key people out of the dev process for a good few days has an impact and maybe they can only handle that once a year.
