BioWare: Still No Mass Effect 2 On PS3

BioWare has once again denied rumours that Mass Effect 2 is coming to the PlayStation 3.

This time, the rumours kicked off with the discovery of code in Mass Effect 2 mentioning the a PC version, the Xbox 360 version, and a PS3 version.

Fortunately, it didn't take long for BioWare's Chris Priestly to respond on the forums. "The Unreal Engine is cross platform, hence the PS3 code," he wrote, noting "This was brought up back in the Mass Effect 1 days as well."

"Mass Effect is for the PC and Xbox 360," Priestly finished.

So there you have it. Still no Mass Effect 2 for PlayStation 3, it seems. If you're lucky enough to have a PC or an Xbox 360, though, we'd highly recommend the game, even if we are starting to have concerns about the formula.
