Star Trek Online: What's Next

Cryptic Studios has updated fans on its plan for the future of Star Trek Online, now that the game's launch is just around the corner.

2 February marks the official start of Star Trek Online, and the developers already have plenty of content and features in the works for the near future.

Firstly, the Borg are in the Alpha Quadrant in full force once again, and three new high-level episodes are ready to go, centred around them. One of the episodes features the well-known Star Trek persona, Q. There's also another deep-space Borg encounter, see screens below.

A selection of Raid Episodes are in the works as well, which will be available to Federation and Klingon players, and more content for Klingon players is also under way including Klingon Fleet Actions which allow large groups of Klingon players to team up and do battle, a new Klingon ship, more Klingon PvE content and Federation vs Federation PvP.

Players who enjoy away missions should be pleased to see that more ground maps and IP locations are on the way.

Finally, a reminder that today is the last chance you have to pre-order the game and gain access to a host of goodies.
