Champions Online: Vibora Expansion Will Be Paid Content

Following the announcement of Champions Online's first expansion, Vibora Bay, Cryptic Studios has clarified that it will indeed be paid content.

Reacting to player discussion on the official forums, community team member Daeke cleared up any question there may have been over Vibora's cost:

Champions Online“I'll cut off this speculation before it even begins.” He continued, “Vibora will be our first paid content expansion. I can't talk pricing yet, but it will not be something on the scale of a full boxed game. It is a new zone, and will be priced accordingly.”

News of Vibora first emerged in Tuesday's State of the Game report, where Chronomancer talked about the so-called Kitchen Sink patch, which included two months worth of game fixes and adjustments based on player feedback. He also talked about the future of Champions Online, which included the exciting news that the Blood Moon Rising event would be re-occurring, with a few tweaks and twists, every real-world full moon.

Champions OnlineAlong with this came the Vibora Bay announcement, describing the upcoming new area as “one of the Gulf Coast’s largest and most exciting cities”. More info on Vibora will arrive shortly, check back for images, videos and further news on this soon.
