DICE's Karl-Magnus Troedsson has implied that we might soon see some premium DLC for Battlefield 1943.
Speaking to OXM, the Battlefield executive producer expounded on the need for post-launch support.
DICE "need to take care of our products post-launch," according to Troedsson. "We haven't released any premium DLC for 1943, for instance, which feels like a natural step to take."
This certainly implies that the team is considering it. We're hopeful for some more maps; the only extra piece of content so far was the unlockable Coral Sea map, but we want more places to fight over.
We've contacted EA and DICE to see if we can't dig some some details for you.
Battlefield 1943 is a stand-alone Battlefield title available through digital download on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a PC version still in the works. It's also really, really good, particularly for the asking price, and should serve as a nice stopgap until you can get your hands on Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
