Gran Turismo 5 Will Use 80 Per Cent Of PS3’s Power


The long-awaited Gran Turismo 5 will apparently use utilise 80 per cent of the PS3’s processing power.

In an interview with VentureBeat, Polyphony Digital’s Kazunori Yamauchi revealed the upcoming simulation racer will push the hardware to the same levels as Uncharted 2 did.

Gran Turismo 5“It is about the same for the PS3, about 8o percent [sic] of the processing power,” he said.

Yamauchi went on to stress that Sony’s hardware performs best when it is being pushed.

“The PS3 hardware has a very high peak performance,” he added.

“The better you manipulate it, the better it performs.”

In other GT5 news this week, Sony announced the games release has slipped from its March release date in Japan.
