Phoenix Wright Hitting WiiWare On Friday

Capcom has revealed that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney will be coming to the European WiiWare service this Friday.

The Wii port of the first game in the cult DS series hit the US Wii Store yesterday, and European users don't have much longer to wait.

General ScreenshotPhoenix Wright: Ace Attorney puts players in the shoes of the newly-accredited attorney, who sets out to prove the innocence of his clients and find the real culprit in a point-and-click adventure that mixes murder and comedy across four genuinely funny cases.

The Wii version adds in gestural controls, with a shake of the Wiimote letting you press suspicious testimony in court while a wave allows players to present damning evidence. It lacks the DS version's gigantic bonus fifth case, which will show up in May. Wii ports of sequels Justice For All and Trials and Tribulations will follow later this year.

The first game in the Phoenix Wright series will cost you 1000 Wii Points when it's released on Friday 15 January. That's about £7 GBP, to you and me, which is a lot cheaper than the DS game.

The next new title in the Ace Attorney series is the DS's Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, which gives the spotlight to Phoenix's rival Edgeworth in a slightly more traditional, side-on adventure. Expect that around 19 February.
