PlayStation Home's London Pub Delayed

The London Pub for PlayStation Home has been delayed a week.

The London Pub, a new area for the PlayStation 3's avatar environment, was supposed to be out yesterday but we've just been informed that it has been delayed until 14 January.

Playstation homeThe delay is apparently down to "unforeseen circumstances with Home at Sony," although a little digging reveals that the problem lies with purchasing problems, and that the team is unable to implement a fix before next Thursday's update.

Worryingly, an official post by the Home commmunity lead over on the EU PlayStation Community forums reveals that "We are still investigating how to best proceed for those who already purchased the space, however we hope that the fix will restore the space automatically." Not necessarily good news for early adopters, then.

This also means that the competition mentioned yesterday, with London Pub creator VEEMEE giving away 30 dartboards, has been delayed until next week.

The London Pub for Home will provide players with a variety of "authentic" London Pub experiences. There's a multiplayer darts game, comedy beer pumps, crank phone calls, an open fire, and - most impressive of all - hand dryers. Look out for it on its launch date of 14 January, when it'll cost you €4.99 EUR.
