Bible Navigator X Delayed

Bible Navigator X, a Bible reader due to be released in December, has yet to get a confirmed release date.

A couple of months ago we reported that B&H Publishing Group were bringing a Bible application to the Xbox LIVE marketplace which would allow users to navigate the pages of the Holman Christian Standard Bible, as well as supporting a search and bookmarking function.

Aaron Linne, executive producer of digital marketing at B&H said the application was still in the "final stages of being launched," but refused to comment as to why it hadn't already been cleared by Microsoft.

"It's been a dream of mine for a few years now," Linne told IncGamers.

When asked why the Xbox, Linne said it was because the Xbox was the first console to support DLC, but initially Microsoft weren't looking for anything non-game.

"Now, with things like Facebook, Twitter and the rest, you can use your Xbox for more than gaming," he said.

"I use my Xbox for everything, it's the central hub for my media."

We asked whether the reader will support any indy style games, such as breaking the bread, turning water into wine or even animations or re-enactments of stories from the Bible.

"No, this is just a reader and it won't have a narrator either. It will include both the New and Old Testaments, and has already had phenomenal feedback."

The Bible Navigator X will be available soon and will be released in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, UK and US.

We still think there's room for DLC here.
