Tecmo Koei has announced that post-apocalyptic, martial arts manga adaptation, Fist of the North Star, will be released on 25 March.
NOT REALLY!
This is the latest in a string of teasers from the publisher about the game's release date. If you don't know what we're talking about, then check here. And here.
The game will be based on "Hokuto no Ken", a manga series which made its debut in 1983, and will join Koei's "Musou" series.
According to a post on Kotaku, gamers will "unleash a myriad of devastating fighting techniques and finishing moves powerful enough to bring down whole buildings," cause enemies to "violently explode on screen" and trigger "the instantaneous breakdown of internal organs."
The real point of this date? Well, it's to promote the Hokuto Musou "Treasure Box" which will be released on 25 March. A Thursday. We reckon this date may suggest a late March release, but we're sure Tecmo Koei will mix things up again anyway.
The contents of the box itself are as illusive as the release date, with no information on what to expect.
We'll keep you posted.
