Aion Players Get 34 Trillion Kinah In Glitch

Certain players on Aion's Azphel server found themselves suddenly quite wealthy recently, thanks to a server glitch.

The modest sum of 30 trillion Kinah was awarded to a number of players in error, sparking off a spending spree and a mail-out to friends of their ill-gotten gains. However, as suspected, news of the glitch soon reached NCsoft, and a server roll-back was implemented. Community manager Tamat informed players on the reasoning behind such drastic measures:

Aion - Tower of Eternity“Earlier today we began to receive reports that a small number of players on the Azphel server had received over 30 trillion Kinah as part of a reward glitch.” He continued “Since that time, we’ve brought down the Azphel server and have been working diligently to identify how to restore economic stability.

“It’s important to understand that we saw the rollback as a last option and made every effort to avoid doing so. We’re currently performing the rollback and anticipate the server will be back online sometime on Tuesday, January 5th. At that point, all character progression on Azphel will be restored to its state as of this morning.”

As a result of the inconvenience, all players on Azphel will be receiving Lodas Amulets, which give a bonus to XP gain for a limited time.

However, according to an update on the post, it seems there are more issues with the Azphel server and we'll find out more about this later today. Were you affected by the roll-back, and would you rather NCsoft had handled things differently?
