Sony has apparently filed a trademark application for something named “Qriocity.”
The application, spotted by Siliconera, describes Qriocity as for use with “portable gaming machines” and “game services provided on-line from a computer network.”
Yes, the word “network” has got the rumour mill erm…milling and the word on the street (OK, the net) is that Qriocity might be the name for Sony’s rumoured premium PSN service.
So, what do you think? Will we see a premium service? If so, what will the fanboys use to lord it over the MS chumps who pay £40 GBP a year? Let battle commence...
