2K To Drop NHL Franchise?

In a recent fiscal report, Take Two's NHL 2K game didn't make an appearance, sparking speculation the title may be axed.

A strange absence as MLB 2K and NBA 2K both were on the Q4 fiscal report.

Speaking to Kotaku's Bryan Lam, 2K Sport's public relations manager, said that the company was "currently in the process of evaluating [the] sports portfolio and have not announced any new NHL titles at this time."

It's not the first sport title to be dropped from 2K's arsenal of sport titles, College Hoops 2K being the last to be axed in September.

If true, this means that EA will now be the only publisher producing hockey games, a shame as we really did like NHL 2K.
